The Derby and Louisville, Kentucky

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 12:30 pm on Friday, July 1, 2016

I have been a huge fan of race horses since I was a kid. One of my earliest memories is actually being taken to Churchill Downs for a late night kind of race. I still don’t know what sort of racing it was but I do recall that the horses had little carriages or buggies tied to them. This is a memory that has stuck with me forever, I can’t just vaguely recall the race itself being at night and some of the people around me. I don’t recall any impressions of the race other than the importance of it being stuck with me.

Growing up in Louisville, Kentucky is kind of like that, though. For the rest of the world they see Churchill Downs as being home of the Derby with nothing in-between. It’s like everything that happens i this city is nothing but a huge lead up for the Derby and then, nothing. We live in a world that is half real and half not. (Read on …)

Thinking About Buying a Dress Online?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 9:30 pm on Sunday, December 22, 2013

I needed a long evening dress in a little more than a week. I could not find anything locally that I thought was suitable for the occasion. However, I did find the perfect dress online at www.likedress.co.uk. What worried me was that I needed it so soon. I saw that they could have a dress made and sent out in 3 to 8 days. I figured I would give it a try, especially since the dress was perfect.

It is all about giving the right measurements. Follow the instructions to get the measurements right. I know how us women are when it comes to measurements. Well, when it comes to getting your dress to fit right, you have to be forthright in exactness. (Read on …)

Online Fast Pass Account Recharge

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 8:30 pm on Monday, May 23, 2016

I went to the train station earlier and tried to board when I found out that my fast pass account was out of money, and so I missed my train. I would have tried to add more money to the account on my phone, because that should be possible, but at the time, my phone was almost dead. I guess I was just really doomed to miss that train in any case. But I want to make sure it doesn’t happen again so I am on http://hgsyukle.com to add more money to the account right now, and I am going to add quite a bit of money to the account, so that I do not run into such a problem again.

I guess I should also keep tabs on how much money is on the account, because I had not thought about it in awhile, and had no idea that I was out of money when I went to the train station. (Read on …)

I Keep Getting These Harassing Phone Calls

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 5:30 am on Friday, January 1, 2016

I have to wonder how much fun it must be to get in serious debt issue, because I have no debts and I still have this dope calling me up trying to collect money I do not owe anyone. I met this guy who said he was one of a group of bankruptcy lawyers in san diego and I told him what was going on. Of course they have laws against this sort of thing, especially if you are completely innocent. With me it is just a matter of having gotten a phone number which once belonged to some other person. I have no clue what they did or why these people are after them, but they must have owed them a lot of money. (Read on …)

Why We Have ADT Security at Our Remote Rural Home

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 5:34 pm on Sunday, December 13, 2015

You have to go down a rural road about four miles before the turnoff to our property is available. It is a narrow gravel road that you cannot drive up without somebody hearing you approaching from the house. The house sits back off of the road about a half mile in. We have four-wheel drive vehicles to get in and out in the winter. It is remote yet beautiful. Its remoteness is exactly why we have an ADT security system. No, it is not so much to notify the police as it is to notify us and our neighbor who is a relative. We are served out here by the State Police, and it takes them at least 30 minutes to get here if they were in a hurry. It is the fault of our location and not their dedication. (Read on …)

We Did Not Want to Lose Our Home

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 8:30 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2015

Times are tough all over. While the rich keep getting richer, it seems that the poor are continuing to lose everything they have worked their entire lives to have. When my husband and I started missing mortgage payments because we simply did not have the money, I knew that we were going to lose our home if we did not do something. I went online and looked up foreclosures in NYC to see if there were any programs that could help us, but I was not able to find anything that would get us back on our feet.

I did find a company that specializes in helping people like us though. Looking through their website was a real education on the sad reality of losing a home. I still had some fight left in me though, and I decided to contact them to see if there was anything that they could help us with. That phone call changed everything for us. We were pretty much left with no hope before the call, but it was somewhat restored when I found out that we did have some options. (Read on …)

Looking at Some Home Security Systems

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 8:30 pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2015

Anne and I have been looking into getting a home security system for our new house. It sits back off of the road and no one can really see what is going on there. So we are worried that this makes us a good target for thieves. We are checking out this site, http://homesecuritytown.com/ and wondering exactly what they are going to give you for 9 dollars a month. I suspect that this is only going to give you the monitoring service, but the system is not that valuable if you do not have that. The truth is that the whole system relies on having humans to figure out what is going on when there is an event. It is not going to be a simple matter for you to run a system if you do not have people watching over it. There just is not a computer which is capable of making the decisions that you need to make when there is something going on. You have to figure out when the alarm is for a real intrusion and when it is a false alarm. (Read on …)

A Professional Makeover for the Wedding Party

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 9:30 am on Monday, December 22, 2014

When my sister told me she was getting married, I was so happy for her. She has had it pretty rough throughout most of her life, and she deserved every bit of happiness that was coming her way now. She told me she was keeping it a very small affair, and I completely understood. I wanted to get her something really nice as a congratulations gift, but she has everything she could ever want already. I was racking my brain trying to come up with something, and that is when I thought about a certified professional makeup artist in Cardiff.

My sister is already beautiful, but I knew that she deserved special attention on her big day. (Read on …)

Speaking and Breathing the Bass

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 9:30 pm on Thursday, December 18, 2014

There is something about me that few people realize or know; I used to be a candy kid. Never heard of it? I’m not surprised! It’s a term for those of us who found ourselves living and breathing the ‘rave’ culture. It was all about the P.L.U.R – Please, Love, Unity and Respect. Yeah, it might seem kind of silly to those of you who had no part in it, to those who have never donned their rave costumes and hit the club or the next warehouse rave in order to feel the music while under the influence of whatever intoxicant you had at hand.

I might be 30 now but those years I can count as some of the best of my life. I have longed for it again but the culture itself has slowly been forced out of Louisville, Kentucky. Due to the greed of the club owners who allowed us to rave from dusk to dawn, we now have nowhere that we can call home. (Read on …)

The Perfect Gift After a Great Show

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 5:32 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2014

Currency Rates Converter for Windows 8 screenshot 1 - Currency Rates ...As a model, I’m fortunate in that I get to try on all the latest styles as they hit the runway. I am one of the first people to try on a garment after it is produced. It’s a really exciting feeling. The last show I was in was really unique. The designer is a good friend of mine, and he wanted each of the models to wear a shamballa bracelet as they walked down the runway. He said that the bracelet would give us a special energy that would make us sparkle even more as we showed off his creations. He’s a true believer in things that can’t always be explained, but it always works out in the end. We each had on a bracelet for the duration of the show. The bracelets match our outfits perfectly and sparkled as we swung our arms.

By the time the show was over, I was in love with my bracelet. I really wanted to take it home, but I didn’t think that would be allowed. I reluctantly gave it back and went on my way.

I Love My New Tattoo

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 1:30 am on Wednesday, January 8, 2014

Scatti di natura -fiori- Selezione canarini SalbosMy new tatuaggi fiori looks great on me. It took a while to heal after getting it, but now I can finally show it off. I wanted to get a tattoo for a long time, but I could never gain enough courage to go though with getting one. I used to wear temporary tattoos and then I moved to henna tattoos, but it just wasn’t the same. Finally, one day I decided that I would get a real tattoo and leave all of the fake stuff behind.

I didn’t know what kind of tattoo to get at first. I had experimented with a lot of different tattoos when I was still getting fake ones, but when it came to the real thing, I couldn’t make up my mind.

I Like My New Stylist

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 9:30 pm on Sunday, December 22, 2013

I am very loyal to those I do business with, so it is no surprise that I was with my hairdresser for nearly 20 years. When she fell ill, I knew that I was going to have to find a new salon to go to because of her unexpected retirement. I sent her a card, but I didn’t feel comfortable asking her for recommendations when she was facing such a serious illness. Instead, I did an online search for hairdresser in Bristol. I wasn’t excited about having to find a new stylist, because I really do not like change at all.

I found a salon that is not that far from me. I decided to just go ahead and make an appointment because I figured I could cancel it on the spot if I was not comfortable with them. From the moment I walked in, I knew I had made the right choice. The atmosphere was very calming, and the stylists and customers alike were all very nice. When it was my turn to have my hair styled, I felt so relaxed because of the way the shampoo girl massaged my scalp. (Read on …)

Life Doesn’t End with Cancer

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 8:34 pm on Friday, June 28, 2013

I am a cancer survivor and while I am happy to be alive, the chemo therapy that saved me actually left my body in a different state than before I had the cancer treatments. I lost all of my hair and I was really happy to see that I didn’t have to shave my legs every morning. I tried to look at the good side of things as that was one of the only things that could keep me going. hair extensions, for example, made the fact that I lost my hair okay and I felt much better when I looked in the mirror and saw that I could have long hair after I started to grow little buds of hair on my head. Having a great sense of humor made me feel so much better about everything that I was going through.

3 Top Tips for Successful Online Dress Shopping

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 12:31 pm on Sunday, September 2, 2012

Nowadays, online dress shopping is very popular, as more and more people are beginning to realize that there are some good prcie deals to be had on dresses on the internet. In this short article, we are going to present three top tips that will ensure that you are successful if you decide to purchase a dress via the World Wide Web.

1. Make that you take accurate measurements of your body.

Before you start shopping for a dress on the internet, you need to know what the measurements of your bust, hips and waist are. You may also need to measure your arm length, the width of your arms and your height. You need these measurement so that you can be sure that any dress that you order online will fit you perfectly when it is delivered.

2. Make sure that you are aware of an online dress supplier’s return policy.

Before ordering a dress form an online supplier, you need to be sure of the terms of the supplier’s return policy. Many online suppliers will provide you with a full refund, as long as you return a dress in unused condition. Some online suppliers, however, operate on a strictly-no-refunds-given basis. In general, it is best to avoid online suppliers that do not allow refunds or returns, as it can be hard to be one hundred percent sure that any dress that you order online will fit properly.

3. Do not forget to comparison shop.

Once you have found a dress that you want to order, make sure that you check out the price of that dress on a wide range of different dress supplier websites. Shopping around on the internet can save you a considerable amount of money, as prices for the same dress can vary greatly between different online dress suppliers.
